Resort Properties History

The phenomenal success of Resort Properties began in the 1980s with the development of a number of vacation ownership resorts in Europe.
The group soon branched out with the addition of several high-end residential complexes and in recent years has enhanced its portfolio further through the development of condo hotel residences, luxury hotels and a groundbreaking Fractional Ownership concept.

1983 Palm Beach Club

Resort Properties' position as a leading player in the Timeshare industry can be traced back to its conception. Founded in 1983 this privately owned company effectively started Timeshare on Tenerife.
Its first project - the 320 apartment Palm Beach Club - proved so popular that it sold out in 28 months for £45million whilst still in the pre-construction stage.
This beachfront complex, situated in the heart of Playa de las Americas, marks the three decades of success that define Resort Properties.

1985 Beverly Hills Club

1985 saw the construction of the Beverly Hills Club Perched on a hillside overlooking the pretty fishing port of Los Cristianos, this Andalusian style village consists of 242 apartments.
Resort Properties' assertion that this was a truly top class resort was confirmed when all 12,342 weeks sold out in just 26 months for £40million.

1987 Beverly Hills Heights

By 1987, Resort Properties had started construction on the Beverly Hills Heights. This intimate, 113 unit resort shares more than just facilities with its sister the Beverly Hills Club - it too sold out all 5,763 weeks for £26.5million in record time, just 13 months.

1989 Hollywood Mirage

The end of the 1980s saw Resort Properties raising its game to an even higher level with the construction of its "flagship" resort, the Hollywood Mirage.
Built in the American Colonial style, this 335 unit resort was, and still is, considered one of the world's finest Timeshare locations.
Reflecting Resort Properties' inimitable consistency, this benchmark development went on to become Europe's fastest selling resort when it sold out all 17,085 weeks for £90million in just 28 months.

1993 Resales

On January 8th 1993 Resort Properties established a unique, on-site Resale Department. With no immediate plans to build any new resorts, the company concentrated on further developing its successful resales operation.
In the years between 1985 and 1992 Resort Properties had sold over 10,000 resale weeks through its Owner Relations Department as the families that made up its membership base changed their ownership to suit the needs of their ever-changing lives and lifestyles.
Since then the organisation has gone from one record year to the next without interruption, finally establishing itself as the 'World's Number One Resale Company'.

2001 Club Paradiso

In 2001, Resort Properties began the construction of Club Paradiso a series of super luxury resorts aimed at the top end of the holiday market.
Recognising the need to move away from larger scale developments, the company has created a number of ultra chic, boutique resorts that cater for the most discerning of holiday-makers.
With a focus on service and quality, this highly flexible holiday product has ensured success for many years to come.

2003 Golden Sands

Resort Properties' extraordinary success in the Canary Islands led to the formation of a partnership in 2003 with the Island Hotel Group and Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts.
This collaboration inspired the creation of the magnificent Golden Sands Resort and Spa in Malta. Combining a five-star hotel experience with first-rate Timeshare units, the location is also one of the anchor resorts for the Club Paradiso product.

2003 The Paramount

In 2003 Resort Properties' latest development, The Paramount in Tenerife, opened its doors to members of the exclusive Club Paradiso.
Unashamedly pursuing the ultimate in luxury, taste and service, this benchmark development set standards rarely seen before in European holiday accommodation.

2004 San Filippo

The next location to be added to the Club Paradiso range was the sensational San Filippo. This 15th century farmhouse, set in 700 acres of rolling Tuscan countryside, was sympathetically restored to incorporate 12 of the most luxurious holiday apartments in Tuscany.
Members now had the choice of three incredible, yet contrasting locations in which to take their holidays, greatly increasing the value of their original investment.

2005 The Palmyra

Tucked between the verdant hills and turquoise waters of Montego Bay in Jamaica, The Palmyra Resort and Spa at Rose Hall added yet another spectacular string to Club Paradiso's bow.
This select development of condominiums, villas and apartments enjoys an incredible oceanfront situation and in 2008 was presented with the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World Award for its ultra high standards of quality and service.

2006 Dorra Bay

In 2006 the company once again expanded its growing Club Paradiso portfolio with the addition of its Dorrabay development. Located on the city's ultra chic Dubai Marina complex, Dorrabay offers Club Paradiso members some of the most exclusive and contemporary accommodation in the region.

2008 Angler's Reef

Yet another first-class development in yet another first class location. Once again adding to the Club Paradiso range, this fishing village styled retreat combines solid craftsmanship with the outstanding natural beauty of the Florida Keys.
Overlooking 500 metres of mangrove-dotted oceanfront, Angler's Reef offers the perfect location from which to explore the dramatic scenery of this beautiful region.

2008 The Platinum Collection

Striving as ever for hospitality excellence, Resort Properties introduced the Platinum Collection in 2008.
Always innovative and always groundbreaking, the company purchased a fleet of luxury Sunseeker luxury yachts to expand and enhance the holiday experience of its Club Paradiso members.
