Resort Properties has released the final website in its latest range, completing a suite of four informative websites for each of its resorts located in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

The new site showcases this exclusive resort - one of four developed by Resort Properties in Tenerife - and offers plentiful information about the resort itself, accommodation types and the facilities and services available.

Children's Home Christmas Celebration a Big Success

Twenty five incredibly excited children received a very special treat when Linekers opened their doors for an afternoon of fun and festivities.
The children, ranging in age from 3 to 15, travelled down from the Hogar Virgen Poderosa Children's Home and other care homes in the surrounding area in the north of Tenerife.
As soon as the children arrived, the little ones headed straight for the ever popular bouncy castle while the older children enjoyed honing their skills on the pool table.
One of the many highlights of the afternoon was a specially prepared magic show courtesy of David Borras and his assistant, which had the children laughing and wondering how those white doves got turned into cute fluffy puppies!
For hungry tummies there was a veritable feast of party food for the children to enjoy, all lovingly prepared for this special occasion.
Santa Claus gave each child a specially selected gift just for them including Barbie, Play Station games, cameras and iPods. The gifts came courtesy of a charity collection by Resort Properties which raised a staggering €700, as well as an additional donation from Toys R Us.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this spectacular afternoon.

Marathon Mission Accomplished for Gordon

The endless months of intensive training paid off for our Call Centre Manager Gordon when on Sunday 8th November he completed the Santa Cruz Half Marathon in an impressive one hour 48 minutes.
Running the 21.1 km route for charity, Gordon managed to raise a staggering €2,200 for the Marianna Glorious Academy in Mombasa, one of Resort Properties' principal charities. Pitting his sporting skills against some of the best athletes in the Canary Islands, Gordon gave the event his all to come a triumphant 439th out of 694 entrants.
He recalls, "Around the 19km mark as my legs started to plead for mercy, I asked myself ‘Why am I doing this?' then I remembered the kids in Mombasa and all the money that my sponsors had pledged and I pressed on. It's incredible - the dedication from people who do the run year in, year out."
With the Barcelona marathon already in his diary for next year, Gordon is determined to keep faith: "After the race, I started thinking about the Barcelona full marathon in March and how tough that's going to be. But I've signed up now - there's no going back so I'll just have to get some serious training in. I can see how the people who enter marathons again and again do it partly just to beat their own time, like a personal challenge. Whether I'll still be thinking like this after Barcelona, I don't know!"
Resort Properties is delighted to be able to provide the school in Mombasa with further funding to help its orphaned children. Managing Director Mark Cushway praised Gordon on his achievement: "Congratulations on a superb effort. If you are someone who trains then you know what a huge effort it is to run this far and to do it in one hour 48 minutes is truly fantastic. The fact that Gordon raised over €2,000 for a good cause is the icing on the cake. Well done, we are very proud."

Resort Properties employee to run Santa Cruz Half Marathon

Resort Properties is pleased to announce that once again, the athletic prowess of another of its team members is being put to the test. Telemarketing Call Centre Manager Gordon Hodge is set to run the "XIX Half Marathon of Santa Cruz de Tenerife" which takes place at 9 a.m. on Sunday 8th November in the island's capital.
The annual event, which attracts hundreds of participants from all over Tenerife and the Canaries, is organised by the Sports Development division of the Santa Cruz Cabildo (City Council). The race circuit covers a distance of 21.1km and participants will this year run two laps starting and finishing at Avenida José Antonio Primo de Rivera, opposite the Cabildo headquarters.
Gordon will be running to raise funds for children at the Marianna Glorious Academy in Mombasa, a school for local children from below the poverty line. The charity project is close to the hearts of Resort Properties employees, who have already raised over €11,000 to build a new accommodation block at the Academy. The team is committed to generating even more money to provide the children with a computer network, desks, text books and sports equipment in the near future.
Gordon says of his upcoming endeavour, "I'm thrilled to be running for such a worthy cause and one that Resort Properties has been involved with for some time now. Obviously I've had to make sure I'm in great physical shape - I've been training extra hard over the last seven months or so to help me prepare for the challenge. It should be a great day and I'm hoping to beat my personal best."
The 19th Santa Cruz Half Marathon is officially sponsored by the sports equipment outlet "Base - Deportes Salud" and has attracted numerous other corporate sponsors including Pepsi and Renault. In each of the categories specified by the organisers, trophies will be given to the first five runners to cross the finish line within two and a half hours. Cash prizes ranging from 50€ to 800€ will be awarded by the Cabildo to anyone who manages to beat the various time records set in the previous 18 events.
Participation at the Half Marathon increases every year, as more and more people want to help their favourite charities and improve their fitness levels at the same time. All of Gordon's colleagues at Resort Properties will be supporting him and wish him well in his challenge.

Resort Properties joins the elite family of TATOC Accredited Resorts

In an informal ceremony on the 17th September 2009, Harry Taylor of TATOC inaugurated the Tenerife Timeshare resorts of Resort Properties into the elite family of TATOC Accredited Resorts.
In recognition of Resort Properties' high standards of ethics in sales and marketing and their adherence to European legislation, Mr Taylor presented Resort Properties Managing Director, Mark Cushway, with the official TATOC flags which the company will proudly fly outside their four resorts in Tenerife: Palm Beach Club, Beverly Hills Club and Heights and Hollywood Mirage.
The TATOC Accreditation Process involves an in depth analysis of a resort's activities including their adherence to official codes of ethics and legislation, the production of clear, informative literature about their products, evidence of a robust complaint handling process at the resorts and the provision of relevant resort insurance and execution of local fire, safety and food hygiene legislation.
Mr Cushway said of the Accreditation: "We are proud to be recognised as an industry leader by an official trade body. We have always achieved awards for the highest levels of quality at our resorts and have worked hard for over a year to ensure high-quality, fair sales practices. It is rewarding to have had that effort recognised by TATOC and our owners and guests can now clearly see that they can buy with confidence knowing that Resort Properties has been approved by the main consumer body for the Timeshare industry".
TATOC, which represents 250,000 European member families, was founded in 1989 with the purpose of encouraging the efficient management of Timeshare resorts through communication and education, to liaise with trade industry bodies and government departments on behalf of Timeshare owners and to communicate a positive image of the Timeshare product.

In order to showcase its impressive portfolio of innovative, luxury holiday products, Resort Properties has released its latest website.
Designed to provide up-to-date, relevant information alongside honest and helpful feedback from owners, the website gives details of each of Resort Properties' outstanding products in an accessible, easy to use format. The site takes the opportunity to demonstrate the positive experiences that Resort Properties has to offer through the responses of its owners and members.
Split into six primary sections, the site is very straightforward to use. Clearly located in a central navigation bar are the main sections; Club Paradiso, Resort Properties Group, Promotional Holidays, Palm Beach Holiday Club Plus, The Platinum Experience, and RCI Points. Each of these main sections provides clear, concise information on these products and how they operate.
As an example, the Resort Properties Group section presents a succinct history of the company's success, as well as a summary of its forward thinking approach to holiday ownership. The site states that, "The company's first decade saw it build and sell out four of the Timeshare industry's most popular resorts"; a real achievement that secured Resort Properties' position as an industry leader. Resort Properties has released another new website to publicise its extensive range of high-end rental accommodation on the island of Tenerife.
The site, which forms part of Resort Properties' growing portfolio of corporate websites, presents all four of its luxury Tenerife Timeshare resorts - the Palm Beach Club, Hollywood Mirage Club, Beverly Hills Club and the Beverly Hills Heights. The objective is to provide holidaymakers looking to enjoy Tenerife's year-round sunny climate with an easy-to-browse portal of top quality rental accommodation.
Designed with ease of navigation in mind, the Resort Properties Rentals site offers a thorough overview of the apartments for rent. House of Commons visit for Resort Properties

Following a formal invitation to UNICEF's Annual Reception, Managing Director of Resort Properties, Mark Cushway, was proud to attend this prestigious event in London on 30th September 2009.
The event took place at the House of Commons, where the leaders of numerous high profile supporters of the charity gathered to hear special guest speakers Irene Carter, finalist from the BBC programme The Speaker, and Dr Chewe Luo, Senior Advisor in the UNICEF global AIDS team.
UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, has been the world's leading charity for child welfare for over 60 years. In more than 150 countries worldwide, it works to alleviate suffering and improve the lives of children, in particular those suffering from HIV and AIDS. Last year, UNICEF's UK committee raised £42.9 million for its global cause.
Throughout its 25 years in the resort development industry, Resort Properties has been involved in various fund-raising ventures, aware of the importance in life of helping those less fortunate. The efforts of UNICEF never fail to strike a chord and for ten years the charity has been among the company's main benevolent causes.
Mark Cushway said, "I was thrilled to be invited to this event at such a special venue, to meet like minded corporate supporters and learn more about UNICEF's role in child welfare all over the world. In a move to ensure the very best service to its clients, Resort Properties has revamped its recruitment website with the objective of finding the very best employees to fill vacancies in its offices around the world.
The new site, which is part of a suite of corporate sites, has been designed with ease of navigation in mind. It provides a comprehensive overview of the careers available with the company, both on the sales teams and within the wider organisation.

The site has been designed to reflect the opulence of the Club Paradiso locations that make up this exclusive network of boutique resorts.
With residences in Tenerife, Malta, Dubai, Florida, Tuscany and Jamaica, Club Paradiso offers a broad choice of experiences to its members and the new website offers a taste of that diversity.

UNICEF invites Resort Properties to House of Commons

Resort Properties' charitable work has been recognised by the children's fund UNICEF with an invitation to the charity's annual reception which takes place at the House of Commons in September.
UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund and for over 60 years it has been the world's leading charity for child welfare. Working in more than 150 countries across the globe, it helps safeguard children's rights and ensure that every child has access to education, healthcare, and protection from exploitation and abuse. In particular, it cares for children suffering from HIV and AIDS.
Special guests at the September reception include Irene Carter, finalist from the BBC programme The Speaker, who has visited UNICEF supported projects in Malawi, and Dr Chewe Luo, Senior Advisor in the UNICEF global AIDS team, who for many years worked with children living with HIV in Zambia, Kenya and Botswana.
During its 25 years in the resort development industry, Resort Properties has upheld a serious commitment to charity support and counts UNICEF among its main benevolent causes. As UNICEF is not funded by the UN but by voluntary donations, Resort Properties recognises the importance of regularly giving as much financial support as it can.

Resort Properties employee Nicky Farrugia makes second attempt on the Enduroman Arch to Arc world record.

In one of the toughest physical tests known to man, super-athlete Nicky Farrugia will attempt the Enduroman Arch to Arc challenge for the second time this year.
The gruelling event consists of three sections - a 140km run from Marble Arch in London's West End to the Dover coast followed by a 33km swim across the English Channel before embarking on a punishing 290km cycle from Calais to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Mr Farrugia, 49, aims to become Enduroman number seven when he completes this solo ultra-endurance event that has broken some of the world's toughest athletes. The fact that he had to abandon his previous attempt just 11 weeks ago has made him all the more determined to succeed.
In June after completing the run from London to Dover in just 21 hours and 28 minutes he was plucked from the cold waters of the English Channel for safety reasons - just one mile short of the French coast.
According to sources within the training camp, Nicky is in high spirits and full of confidence about the upcoming challenge. He has been training well and has the right mental attitude to face an event of this magnitude.
Enduroman number six, Eddie Ette, had this to say of the ordeal: "A successful A2A challenge requires the athlete to have a massive endurance base, extremely strong mental attitude, tolerance to pain and good luck".
There will be plenty of fingers crossed to wish Nicky luck on this world record attempt, including all the staff and beneficiaries of his chosen charities - the Dar Ta-l Providenza and Inspire (Eden & Razzett Foundation).
His supporters at Resort Properties and their partners the Island Hotel Group will also be urging him on in their thoughts as well as his sponsors Air Malta, Urban Jungle, BBB Cycle Parts, Performance Bar Maxim and Switch Bikes.

Resort Properties' fundraiser to send kids to Disneyland

In a style reminiscent of Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman's Long Way Round, two employees of Resort Properties are set to embark on a mammoth adventure to raise funds for underprivileged children in Kenya and Malta.
Riding the archetypal long distance enduro bikes - BMW R 1200 GS Adventures - from Wales to Malta, Perry Newton and Kevin Camilleri will travel over 5,300 miles through 15 countries in just two weeks.
The intrepid pair began plans for the trip over a year ago after watching a DVD of Long Way Round. Perry explained: "We got talking about the TV series in the pub and we both mentioned that we'd always fancied an adventure like that. One thing led to another and before I knew it we had begun training for this journey".
And train they did. Although Kevin already had a lot of off road riding experience, the two made contact with Nick Plumb at Touratech in Wales - the same company that equipped and trained Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman - and embarked on a riding course to hone the specific skills needed to undertake a trip of this magnitude.
On -road, off-road and all-weather riding were covered, as were roadside repairs and emergency first aid. The lads also took a specialist road-riding course with the British Police to prepare themselves for the intense riding their planned daily schedule demands.
Despite living and working in Malta, Kevin and Perry have been travelling to the Touratech Headquarters in Brecon most weekends to get as much experience as possible before setting off on their Two week epic.
Says Perry: "We've been burning the candle at both ends - flying to the UK straight after work then riding in quite extreme conditions, then flying straight back to start work again. The good thing is that we have experienced the type of fatigue we're likely to encounter on the way and have learnt to handle it".
So fun and games and a whole lot of adventure, but this trip is not just a large-scale jolly boys outing. Kevin and Perry have been collecting sponsors to help raise money for two charitable projects that are close to their hearts. The first is a planned trip to Disneyland for a number of underprivileged Maltese children and the other is a new accommodation block for orphans at the Marianna Glorious Academy in Kenya.
Perry says: "We are looking to raise about a pound a mile from the Resort Properties sales offices in both Malta and Tenerife. It's a crying shame what some of these kids have been through so we hope that the cash we raise will make a real difference to them".

Resort Properties launches its new charities website: The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Resort Properties has added another website to its growing suite of corporate sites to help publicise the charitable projects for which it is currently raising funds.
The charity website contains a wealth of information about the mainstream charities that the company supports, including details about how to make a donation. It also focuses on the charitable projects that Resort Properties employees are involved with on an individual basis.
This involvement is very much hands-on, with many members of staff giving up their spare time to actively lend support to a number of projects located in several countries around the world. Their support ranges from taking part in sponsored events, arranging fundraisers or simply visiting the projects and helping out with day to day maintenance and chores.
Mark Cushway, Resort Properties' European Managing Director, believes that this personal involvement has had a very positive effect, both on the specific projects and on the individual employees who take the time to help.
He explained: "part of our philosophy is to celebrate our success and to contribute in a way that helps those less fortunate than ourselves. All too often we get wrapped up in our own issues and problems but I've noticed that those members of staff that have given their time to help have become far more positive people and have broadened their own horizons".
The new website features testimonials from some of these employees as well as news about fundraising events and plans for future charitable initiatives. It also includes a section that explains the motivation behind Resort Properties' charitable support, which stems from a life-coaching course that is part of Resort Properties' ongoing employee training programme.
